Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies DR2U uses and why, in line with the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

What cookies we use

We use four categories of cookie:

  • Strictly necessary — required to run the site (your basket and sign-in). These are set automatically and can't be switched off, since the site can't work without them.
  • Functional — remember your preferences to improve your experience. We don't currently use any functional cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones below.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.
  • Marketing — used to show you relevant advertising. We don't currently use any marketing cookies.

Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are only set once you've given consent via the cookie banner. You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time — see "How to withdraw consent" below.

The cookies this site sets

Cookie Category Purpose Duration
d2u_cart Strictly necessary Remembers your basket between pages and visits 30 days
d2u_access Strictly necessary Keeps you signed in A short session
d2u_refresh Strictly necessary Keeps you signed in without repeatedly entering your password Up to 30 days
d2u_consent Strictly necessary Remembers your cookie preference so we don't ask again every visit 1 year
_ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics) Analytics Helps us understand how the site is used. Not currently active on this site — only set if you accept analytics cookies and analytics is enabled Up to 2 years

We'll update this table whenever the cookies we actually use change — see this page's version history in the admin for prior versions.

How to withdraw consent

You can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time by clearing the d2u_consent cookie in your browser's settings and reloading the page, which will show you the consent banner again. You can also block or delete cookies entirely through your browser settings, though doing so may stop the basket and sign-in features from working.
